The Pivot is more than the name of my studio. It’s a reflection of my own story.

My life has been full of pivots—some planned, some unexpected, and many that ultimately led me somewhere better than I imagined.

Movement has been one of the constants through all of them. I found Pilates as an endurance athlete, initially as a way to stay strong, recover from injuries, and keep doing the things I loved. After seven foot surgeries and more than my fair share of time rehabbing injuries, I learned firsthand how powerful it is to find movement that can meet you where you are—and continue to challenge you as you get stronger.

But Pilates quickly became more than that. It made me feel stronger, more capable, and more connected to my body—and I wanted to share that feeling with other people.

I was comprehensively certified through Balanced Body in 2008 and never r. I taught through many different chapters of my life: a career in the consumer products industry, earning my MBA, becoming a mom, helping build two successful Pilates studios, and eventually leaving the corporate world to start my own marketing agency.

Through all of those changes, I kept coming back to movement—and to Pilates.

Opening The Pivot is another one of those moments. After years of teaching and experiencing Pilates in so many different settings, I had a clear vision for the kind of studio I wanted to create—one that honors what makes Pilates so effective while bringing in the athleticism, creativity, and strength training that I personally love.

I wanted incredible instructors who could challenge you while still making class approachable. I wanted a place where progress mattered more than perfection. And most importantly, I wanted it to feel like home.

As a Moraga mom and member of this community, creating The Pivot here feels especially meaningful. My hope is that it becomes a place where people come not only for a great workout, but because they feel welcomed, challenged, supported, and known—whether they’ve been doing Pilates for 20 years or have absolutely no idea what a reformer is.

I don’t believe movement is about chasing perfection. It’s about discovering what your body can do, getting stronger through every season of life, and continuing to evolve along the way.

Life changes. Bodies change. Priorities change. Sometimes we choose the next chapter, and sometimes it chooses us.

Sometimes the strongest thing you can do is pivot.

I can’t wait to welcome you to The Pivot.
